✨Volunteering week is here! ✨

If you want to start volunteering but don't know exactly where to start, this is the opportunity for you. We are very pleased to announce a one-off volunteering session in partnership between LSESU Visual Arts and the LSE Volunteering center next Friday at 2pm!

You will get the opportunity to create virtual cards for children in need, through the Post Pals Charity. This opportunity will allow you to choose a pal to whom you will send your offering, while in the meantime improve your Photoshop skills (no previous knowledge needed:)) and have some fun!
So sign up now if you want to put a smile on the face of a child in need!

All registrations for the event are to be made on Career Hub.
Once signed up, you will receive a more detailed briefing pack on how everything will run (i.e. how to download photoshop and some basic tips).

We are looking forward to seeing you there!

We are very pleased to announce that we will be closing week 9 with an Art Jam on Sunday at 17:00! Join us on zoom with some wine (and food) to draw with us in a relaxing atmosphere on the sound of music of the 80s. This will be a nice way to take some time for yourself and start the new week right! This session is in collaboration with Save the Children, a London based charity which helps children reach their full potential. And, if you feel like it, you can decide to design a greeting card during this session, which will be sold digitally to raise money for the charity! This is a way to have fun while doing something good. We are all really looking forward to see you on Sunday 🙂 LSESU Visual Arts

Make sure to catch up on our Green Week: Sustainable Art Competition Briefing! We can't wait to see the submissions... and remember you have until the 28th of November. There is also a secret prize!

LSESU Green Week is here! During the week you will have the chance to view the environment through different lenses. One of them will be art!

For week 8, LSESU EcoSoc and LSESU Visual Arts are collaborating to put together a nature-themed art competition!

The title for this is: “Nature reclaiming unnatural spaces”.

You can interpret this in whatever way you like. The goal is to make a piece of art, in any format - from photography to digital art to painting, aiming to depict how art can highlight the significance and beauty of nature.

We would like to encourage you to use objects from nature in this piece in some shape or form, whether that be by using twigs as paintbrushes or sticking real leaves onto your paintings!

We will then give you another extra week to send in your submissions before closing the deadline on the 28th of November at midnight. We will then open voting from the 30th of November to the 4th of December. All members from the Visual Arts and EcoSoc will be able to vote and there will be a prize for the winner!

Please send your creations on Instagram at [email protected]
