Press Release
Brentford Arts Works, has been working quietly, often behind the scenes to keep arts and culture alive in Brentford.
The 11th April will mark a year since the sudden closure of Watermans Arts Centre. The desire for the provision of arts and culture in Brentford remains an important need and continues to be our focus at Brentford Arts Works. We have had meetings with Cllrs. Tom Bruce and Salman Shaheen who continue to engage with us.
Whilst we wait for the scheduled ‘spades in the ground’ at the old Police Station site, which is earmarked as the new Arts Centre, we are very pleased to announce that Brentford Arts Works is seriously looking at various options to hold outdoor events during the summer months. Arts and culture has been fairly dormant since the demise of the Arts Centre but hope springs eternal in Brentford. So watch this space!
