Incredible to have been invited to Venice for the opening of 'The Tower Tomb of Palmyra', .shamma.artist's presentation at the Syrian Pavilion.

Inside the reconstructed tower Sara's exquisite paintings surrounded and enveloped us. By integrating light, sound and scent to the experience it became all the more powerful.

Huge congratulations to .shamma.artist who is representing Syria this year. Her immersive solo presentation 'The Tower Tomb of Palmyra' reflects on cultural heritage, memory and transformation and we can't wait to see it for ourselves very soon.

We first worked with Sara in 2024 when we collaborated on a VR journey exploring the emotions and inspirations behind her work. It was incredible to have that opportunity.

'A+B=C' by was another brilliant addition to our AI print collaboration for . It also sold so quickly we never got to share it here!

The left panel comes from a series John worked on in 2022 using Instagram's poll function. It has no AI in it.

The centre panel is the left panel but blurred. Blurring is significant because it mirrors how AI learns to generate images - officially known as stable diffusion.

The right panel is ChatGPT's interpretation of the blurred panel. AI never saw the original left hand panel, its only reference was the blurred image, meaning the final panel is an act of AI conjecture.

Conjecture mechanism- the way the model fills in detail is statistical- it generates plausible textures, forms and patterns consistent with how it has been trained.

As always, collaborating with on his series 'Artificial Neons' at the end of last year was a joy! And these 2 works flew off the wall so quickly we never got to share them.

This recent series examines what truly makes art "public". The works play on the familiar trend of using neon text in public art - often displaying inspirational or ambiguously poetic quotes.

Generated using AI, their messages hover between irony and lyricism.

It is always a joy to work with and this collaboration was no different. The concept was to question the validity of the endless edition by producing unique 1 of 1 prints that have been created using AI.

'One of Many' " I've always found digital edition numbering slightly contrived. Digital editions are potentially limitless but they are controlled for the art market."

'The Urinal, Restolen' " This work is actually a masterpiece of AI times (says chatGPT) Duchamps Urinal signed R Mutt 1917 questioned who makes the art work. In this AI edition the question now turns to who owns the training data."

Both works are available via our shop!
