Anyone fancy a trip to the coast? We’re delighted to have been able to help Towner Art Gallery with their John Nash exhibition. It opens on 18 May so if you are planning some sea air it should definitely be on your to-do list

Often overshadowed by his better-known brother Paul Nash and with no major exhibition of his work since the Royal Academy’s exhibition in 1967, this will be the largest outing for John Nash in over 50 years and certainly the most substantial retrospective since his death.

How do you take off a frame of a priceless, 500-year old Raphael artwork? Very carefully!

Watch how Momart technicians assisted the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal Collection Trust in examining and documenting one of the greatest treasures of the Renaissance - Raphael Cartoons.

This process has been documented in the new BBC series called 'Secrets of the Museum'. The second episode is now available on BBC iPlayer.

Behind the scenes at the V&A, Momart team assists with removing the glass frames of the priceless Raphael paintings to reveal their secrets.

Our Story

Momart began as “Jim Moyes’s Compendium of Working Possibilities” in 1971 with its eponymous founder - himself an artist - offering instalation, display, handling, transport and framing services to galleries and artists in London. The client base quickly grew by word of mouth in recognition of the service levels being offered and the company was registered as Momart Limited in September 1972.

Since its creation in 1972, Momart Ltd has grown to be a globally-respected art logistics company focussed exclusively on the movement, protection, storage and installation of fine art, ranging from paintings to sculptures to complex installations. Our clients encompass those working in the contemporary and modern fields to specialists in classical antiquities and Renaissance masterpieces. With over 40 years of experience and expertise in handling, transport and storage of art, Momart offers a highly efficient, individually tailored, and discreet specialist service to galleries, artists and collectors worldwide. We are a trusted partner to respected museums, renowned auction houses and art institutions around the world, and hold a Royal Warrant from Her Majesty the Queen for our work with the Royal Collection.
