The exhibition explores what is lost in the transfer of information involved in the making of a digital document. To this end, TRANSFER includes works that flirt creatively with forms of ‘infidelity’ to the originals they document, thereby challenging the norms of such documentation.

Please RSVP to join us on the opening event and the exhibition tour.

Yiyun Kang is one of our three artists whose works are on display at our current exhibition ‘𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘍𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘺 𝘕𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴’ at the KCCUK.

Her immersive audio-visual installation piece titled ‘𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦 2.0’ has been built with a combination of screens and see-through fabrics which has digitally rendered images of natural landscapes projected along with a combination of soundscapes, thus inviting the audience to transcend their experience beyond the finite space of the installation.

Dr Yiyun Kang received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Seoul National University; her Masters of Fine Arts from UCLA’s Design & Media Arts and her PhD from the Royal College of Art. She is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
She has held numerous exhibitions in a variety of locations such as the Victoria and Albert Museum and participated in the Venice Architecture Biennale.
