Take another look at Erna Uçar's work with us ✨

In her ongoing series The Room, Erna captures the quiet tension of contemporary life through intimate interior spaces. These rooms act as a refuge from the speed of metropolitan living, where stillness becomes a deliberate pause. The viewer enters as a temporary guest in spaces that feel both familiar and distant, encountering a rare moment of collective solitude in an otherwise constantly connected world.

The paintings are defined by bold colour fields and tactile layers of acrylic and graphite, echoing a Fauvist sensibility that heightens both the visual and physical presence of the work. The result is a series that doesn’t just depict a room, but invites you to step inside it.

Ben Newman has developed a distinct visual language built from bold shapes and vibrant colour. Each work begins with reclaimed wood, carefully cut into geometric pieces and hand assembled to create striking patterns.

Using house paint and lacquer, Newman transforms these materials into sculptural wall works where colour and form lock together. No two pieces are the same. The reclaimed wood, handcrafted construction and punchy palette give each work a strong presence, making them a perfect statement piece for the home ✨🏠

Striking new work from the talented James Hawke and his ongoing Poolside series.

Poolside is a project that has dominated James Hawke’s work since 1998. It is shorthand for images which describe the illusory world printed on the pages of holiday brochures. In particular James is interested in the colour and theatrical nature of Mediterranean tourist destinations and beaches across the world. Each painting can take up to two months, comprising hundreds of shapes painted using a highly controlled, flat technique.

Throwing it back to this time last week when we were out in full force for day two of the Affordable Art Fair Battersea.
