Rian is a fashion showcase commissioned by the Embassy of Ireland, London, and devised by Gemma Williams, to promote emerging Irish designers across all fashion disciplines. Rian - New Directions in Irish Fashion Design premiered at the Embassy on June 26th 2013 and featured a range of up and coming designers from fashion design, craft and film. Highlighting work from the very cutting edge of Iris
h creativity, it was supported by installations at the Doyle collection and Canary Wharf Malls throughout June and July. Partners included Irish Post, Not Just a Label, Bank of Ireland, Tourism Ireland, Quinn, Arts & Events Canary Wharf, The Doyle Collection and Federation of Irish Societies. It was curated by Gemma Williams and Lizzie Geldinning, with design by Joana Felipe. Rian - A Journey Through Irish Jewellery & Accessories is the second instalment. It will take place at the Barbara Stanley Art Gallery in Marylebone, highlighting jewellery and accessories.
