Gallery Eight London

Gallery Eight London Gallery 8 is situated a stone’s throw from international auction houses Christie's and Sotheby's.

The area is renowned for its galleries which exhibit art of all genres and periods. The Royal Academy of Arts is also just moments away, at the top end of Duke Street on Piccadilly. We have many years' experience organising exhibitions and are happy to help with all aspects of exhibition coordination. As well as recommending local suppliers and sub-contractors, we can provide assistance with planning private view events and evening receptions.

Tomorrow and Saturday afternoon ( till4pm) will be the last chance to see our exhibition. I will never be able to thank enough the visitors who have come…..so many have expressed their intense appreciation of the paintings in ways which will inspire me for years to come. Some words repeat “luminous …joyful….natural ….pure colour ….the painting in the window gives all that we are made of light , air ‘ you let us breathe , we leave uplifted “. Thank you very ,very much .

So glad to have back in the gallery. Her exhibitions always fill the space with a particular serenity, and stepping through the door is like taking a deep breath of the freshest spring air.

Still on show for another week. Come visit and breathe it all in for yourself.

Thank you for featuring my solo exhibition ZOT curated by

It was a pleasure to speak with Srishti Ojha about my use of deconstruction techniques, the non-fixedness of outcomes, and creating a space-within-a-space in which to reframe postmodernist tropes.

The link is in my bio, for the full interview.

Paul Hodgson | ZOT

British artist works fluidly across drawing, painting, photography, digital print and sculpture, restaging moments from art history to question how artworks are formed, fixed and understood. ZOT takes its title from the Dutch word meaning “fool” or “crazy,” a term adopted by Willem de Kooning in certain of his black-and-white paintings of the 1940s, where words, symbols and biomorphic forms emerge from gestural fields. For Hodgson, ZOT signals a productive sense of “misguidedness” at the heart of artistic practice, embracing uncertainty, error and change as generative forces.
