Featured Artist: Julie‑Ann Simpson
(b 1992, Aberdeen, Scotland. Lives and works in Glasgow)
Artist Julie‑Ann Simpson uses observation and memory as starting points to make the intangible visible. Her work explores the ambiguity and disorientation in everyday juxtapositions and the fluid boundaries between interior and exterior spaces, man and nature, and dreams and reality. She describes her approach as synesthetic, using the language of painting to evoke sensory experience. Her latest series, developed after a two‑month residency in Japan, reflects on our connection to the natural world while weaving imagination, ritual, memory, pleasure and language into a new personal mythology.

Architecture and streetscape through a dark, moody lens - it captures the quiet intensity of the built environment after hours, where structure, shadow, and atmosphere take centre stage.

Featured Artist: Sasha Bowles

An artist and curator working across painting, installation, film, and object-making playfully reimagines classical artworks, architecture, and historical interiors. Through illusion and metamorphosis, she renders the familiar uncanny and invites us to question what we think we know. ✨
