London Marathon 2026
Running can be a lonely sport. The hours of training quiet often on your own. The grind. The discomfort. The discipline. But when the big day arrives and thousands upon thousands of spectators are screaming your name, it’s sport at its best. Emotions are hard to control and often spill out. For me, it’s why sport is so amazing. A uncontrollable reaction to an outpouring of love from loved ones and strangers. There is no place like the London Marathon. It is the coming together of people from all walks of life with a similar goal. What’s not to love?

Where were you on the 26th April 2026? I was with the other hundred thousand people plus watching history. Sub 2 hour smashed. Unreal. Can’t quite believe I got that close to a man that will go down in history. First Sir Roger Bannister to catapult running forward by breaking the 4 minute mile now breaking the sub 2 hour marathon

Some head turning performances from the Cottage boys. Having only just met this team a few weeks prior to the start line, I was clearly unaware I stood amongst giants. I’m not sure if they know the impact they will have had on the running community over the weekend and how they will have inspired thousands. London at its absolute finest. Running at its absolute finest. One for the history books. Well in!

‘Runners aren’t normal’
Session with some of the Cottage boys. It’s all well and good photographing athletes at the top of their game, but when they are that fast I have about 6 seconds to get the shot and then I have to wait 7 minutes when they come back round for another lap. Think I did ok…

🌦️ Chilly Sunshine Dry
A late tee off meant we were chasing the sun only to catch others who didn’t seem to mind some very twilight golf. Despite using night vision goggles to find the last flat, Croham offered a mix of hills, dog legs, narrow approaches yet a forgiving course in general. Favours the tidy golfer with a strong short game but seeming misguided b*mbs also gets the job done. Another course I’d like to tackle in the summer.

Plenty of elevation changes kept us warm on this chilly winter’s round. A scenic course that requires you to think on almost all holes and not grab the big stick and tee off. Would go around again in the summer as winter golf is never a fair comparison.
