Far Away by Caryl Churchill

Presented by Lost Text/Found Space | Directed by Rebecca McCutcheon

Performed by Lizzie Hopley, Lorna Dale, and Samuel Gosrani

Churchill’s chilling masterpiece returns in a bold, site-specific production set in the raw, immersive space of Ambika P3.

In a world gripped by fake news, rising populism, and political fear, Far Away feels more urgent than ever. Joan hears screams in the night. Her aunt says it’s just an owl. But Joan saw something else, something terrifying.

Years later, war has consumed everything. The rivers, the birds, even the deer have taken sides. Who can you trust, when truth itself is weaponised?

Hailed as “the most significant play of this millennium” (Simon Stephens), this powerful production explores survival, propaganda, and the collapse of certainty in our post-truth world.

Lost Text/Found Space creates daring theatre in unexpected places, for audiences ready to see the world differently.
