W.SHANSHAN would like to celebrate the Year of the Horse with this stunning Han Dynasty (202 BC - 220 AD) painted earthenware horse (29 cm long, 24.5 cm high, 10 cm wide). The horse is finely decorated with a rare purple-blue pigment, and its lively expression reflects the classic artistic spirit of the Han Dynasty. We are very excited to announce the participation in the 18th Parcours de la Céramique (16-20 September 2025) alongside several top French galleries specialised in ceramics.

For the first time ever, we invite you to Maison Tahissa (21 rue des Saint-Pères, 75006 Paris), a gallery specialised in textile art, to witness a captivating dialogue between two magnificent art forms - early Chinese ceramics and tapestries of Asia, which demonstrates a profound cross-cultural impact that transcended materials, centuries and geography. This beautiful gallery is located in the most important antique and art centre of Paris - Carré Rive Gauche on the Left Bank.

What‘s more? There will be an opening evening with drink reception until 21h on Tuesday 16th and a guided tour every afternoon at 14h. No booking is required.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you in Paris!

The shape of this cup is generally that of Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD) lacquerware, but this one, made of terracotta, is extremely rare. It is decorated with black pigments on a red background and abstract patterns. More importantly, three clear Chinese characters “君幸酒”in the center indicate that this cup was used to serve wine. 24 cm long and 18.5 cm wide.
