Over an intensive one-week project, I worked to capture the unique lines and features of this subject, bringing out her essence through shadow and light. Charcoal is a medium that pushes for boldness while honoring subtleties, and in rendering her distinctive features, I wanted to celebrate the strength in her presence—those little details that set her apart.
