Ironwill Blacksmiths have the tools and skills to manipulate metal in ways modern fabrication methods simply cannot achieve.

By heating steel in the forge, we make it malleable enough to form using hammers, chisels, punches and specialized shaping tools. Typically the results are more graceful and flowing than if fabricated by cutting, grinding and welding alone. Truly handmade metalwork has an individuality and a character that mass produced goods just don’t possess. I like to think my work is more equivalent to an oil

painting, whereas ready made metalwork is comparable to a print! We are not, however, stuck in the past, and Will uses plasma cutting, arc, mig and tig welding equipment where appropriate. These abilities, combined with the ancient skills of the blacksmith open up a whole world of creative possibilities.
