Two lidded vases made as an owl and a pussycat by a mum and her daughter in a workshop held in the pottery. I made the vase and lid and the students finished them as they wished; the girl chose to do a cat (Russian blue) and then they painted them in coloured glazes. Very pleasing results I think!

Samples of slipware platters taken from the kiln this morning. The god of the kiln wasn't too pleased, however, and reminded me not to annoy him by cracking a very nice owl platter. I said my apologies so it may not happen again (for a while at least.) Also, four nice tea-plates maded by a student!
