Quality Yard 360 Street Art Exhibition

Quality Yard in Leith welcomes day time visitors. We have 6 external artworks mostly in Maritiem Lane and 40 metres of art on show in the courtyard.

Experience Quality Yard's unique 360° outdoor street art painted courtyard exhibition of new artworks by Scottish street artists in the heart of the Leith old town. Since the pandemic the yard has not be open as regularly but soon we hope that weekday 10am - 6pm it will be open.

Just ramblin' about the Quality Yard. So here's some snaps as I wandered. Jordan Thomson has moved into art studio no.1 at the yard and has painted Leith on the staircase and QY on the now gleaming silver chrome bike store. A shot of the corner of Maritime Street and Lane, a picture of Quality Yard tunnel looking at the Proclaimers , my old stencil of smirking is still hanging in the studios and finally some nice cool small pasteups in Broad Lane beside The Shore.

Art Studio 2 in Leith Edinburgh available now! Studio is 3.18m x 2m with daylight LED lighting. £125 monthly allowance inclusive rent for 3 months minimum lease with £75 deposit.

I am looking for an active artist(s) looking for a small local studio in Leith. Please do not apply if you live more than 2 miles away! If you can't walk to the bottom of Constitution Street from where you live then the studio is not suitable. Apologies but not wheelchair accessible. I have been running these art studio spaces for 10 years so I know if you live locally you are more likely to use the studio.

All applicants by email providing a brief CV and either 6 images or a link to an IG account or FB page. ...or a website.

As well as the studio space the tenants have the opportunity to use the gallery area for small shows and I host annual outdoor paint jams ( see photos) . The artists who paint at the jams range from beginner painters to professional spray paint mural artist.

An old HERA of herakut Door from Aberdeen from my recent wander.

I am a HUGE fan of accessible door paints ( and windows). A door allows artists the opportunity to paint out on the street bringing art to the public with none of the stuffyness of a hushed stuffy gallery. Just a lowly door with some art on it asking you to love it or like it. ❤️

Amazing to think Quality Yard has had more street level artists than Nuart Aberdeen's roadside artistic endeavours! Currently over 130 artists have painted on the buildings in Maritime Lane , since 2016, with close to 200 small scale murals.

I don't know half these artists so please message me with a pic no. and their IG name.

Since the Paint Jam I have had a busy time away so I'm just catching up on posting these great new photos by Ezra.

Briefly this whole event started in 2018 when Ross Blair. Brian McFeely and artistic pals painted the then newly created 360⁰ Street Art Painted Courtyard. Currently there are 35 paintings around the yard, in the Lane and on the Doors in Maritime Lane.

A set of 3 tribute street art murals by in Maritime Street. Leith and & on the Coatfield Lane hoardings also in Leith Edinburgh.

The last few photos show ELPH's own graffiti piece from 2023 also still looking good after 3 years. Finally a repeat photo of the Boro Gallery in 7 West Register St behind the Apple Store in Edinburgh.

I made an ELPH reel so here are the mural photos individually. Starting from June 2018.

Elph was a super talented Edinburgh street artist, graffiti writer, reformed tagger, illustrator, animator and 3D artist.
