Thanks to everyone who made our three day Gala Weekend an enjoyable and special event. It started with our Suffolk Day on Friday 21st. Then on Saturday, Tim Rowan-Robinson DL kindly agreed to unveil a plaque to mark the occasion. We had members of the Garrett Family and guests join us too. We did it all again on Sunday to make a weekend full of activity. Thanks to everyone who came along to see us. It is so nice to have the doors open to visitors again.

It's national and we want say a huge thanks to our terrific volunteers. We really couldn't do it without your support. There are so many things you do to help and I'm afraid I will miss someone, but as an example - the meet and greet team on Front of House, the steam team who look after the steam engines, the collections team who catalogue our objects, the education team who put on plays and school visits, the display Team, that creates our exhibits, the workshop team who restore the Garrett Trolleybus No. 26 and 1937 McLaughlin Buick restoration, and our Trustees.
If you would like to know more about volunteering at The Long Shop Museum please drop in and see us.

The Sizewell B team battled some very wet weather, but have added a nice herb garden and a lovely water feature and built two sheds.

We were delighted to support Leiston’s historic Long Shop Museum in creating a new community garden ahead of their reopening next week.

Thanks to a helping hand from volunteers at Sizewell B, together we helped make a real enhancement to what is a great local museum.
