Studio Gallery of Paintings of the Peak District, by Carole A Knight. What is it that gets you out of bed in a morning? What lifts your spirits? Do you love what you do and Do what you love?

Inspired by The Peak District and its moody vistas....I absolutely love the moors, and rocky outcrops in the area its changing views, atmosphere and seasons make interesting subjects all year round. My first love was and is Art, particularly painting with watercolours, they are so unpredictable, My favourite subject has to be the moody Moorlands that I have grown up with. The Peak District offers

a wealth of beautiful areas, scenes and landscapes to capture on paper or canvas, Stormy skies and misty moors lend atmospheric conditions that are a wonderful challenge to portray.... but oh what fun. Seasonal changes mean the same scene takes on a new look. Different light or time of day, the weather, all adds interest to the subject. I love painting and I hope you enjoy looking at my work. Its a pleasure to share them with you, thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Hazel and Nikki at the shop on Saturday for those who want a look around town. We’ve prepped a load of sale stuff. Then we’re shut until Friday the 2nd Jan.
We seem to do well with social media so please spread the word or they’ll be sat there eating cake.! As if we haven’t eaten enough 🤣

We have had a busy year. It’s been difficult getting people in to the shop while we have sad empty premises around us. We’ve had many road works around us and a lack of Xmas decs up this end of town but you still came and you still shared our posts. Social media is definately our saviour too.
We pride ourselves on our bespoke framing service and have tried to keep prices from rising. We also love that we sell artwork from local artists and keep the smiles on their faces
THANKYOU ! ❤️
