Eye Spy with my little eye…

…join us during the school holidays for an Easter Hunt with a difference, as our building is filled with eye-opening activities for all the family.

With your museum ticket this Easter you can:

Join historian Nick Summerton in his ancient apothecary shop to learn all about Roman eye healers and the medicines they had at their disposal.
Sleuth your way around the museum on our special Eye Spy trail (don’t worry we’ll give you an EYE-dea of where to look if you get stuck!).
Get crafty designing your very own Victorian optical illusions – colour them in, then cut them out and make your own thaumatrope to take home!
Join the Thackray team on our free daily talks and tours for a host of eye-related facts.

Have a budding Surgeon in the family? Dissect a real-life eyeball with the help of medical experts. Book your family ticket for our hands-on dissection workshop here.
