Good afternoon, something to put in the diary. We are delighted that Richard Holder will be bringing his 009 Launceston Steam Railway model railway back here to us to display to our visitors. He will be set up and ready Sunday 10th August - Thursday 14th August for our visitors to view. It truly is an amazing model and well worth a visit. The location for this is still to be decided but we are hoping that it can be somewhere without stairs to allow more people to view.

Part 2 of the Austin 7 meet at Launceston Steam Railway today. This is them all leaving this afternoon. It was nice for our visitors to be able to look around them too. The last car leaving was Lulu belonging to Bob who used to be a guard here and this was his mode of transport to come to work. He was always very happy to show visitors around her a let the children sit in it for photos.

Evening all, when I arrived at work this morning Nigel's Austin 7 was parked outside the cafe, when I asked why he told me that an Austin 7 club were meeting at the railway. I will put another film up a bit later of the cars. Here is Nigel explaining how he got his Austin, of course there is always a story😂

Good afternoon, scorchio today. Dorothea has announced she will not be coming out in this heat, so Lilian and Covertcoat will be picking up the slack whilst the weather is like this. Yes I know I made an error on Newmills, it should say 11.20am, I think the heat may have got to me too🤣I will go back in the shed with Dotty.

Tickets once purchased are valid all day. Cafe, museum, gift and bookshop on site. Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome. I took this film last week of Lilian, Nigel and Jonathon getting ready for the start of the day, coming down the slope to the track and station. Notice the difference between Lilian starting the day all calm and composed to Dorothea barging out of her shed pushing everything out of her way (see a previous post).
