Good morning, happy Tuesday. Not long to wait now until we open for the last week of the 2026 season, Sunday 25th - Thursday 29th October. Kay has let me know that we will be having a sale in our gift and bookshop. There will be 20% off gifts and souvenirs, 10% off new books and buy one and get one free (cheapest one free) on secondhand books. It looks like a good time to get some early Christmas shopping done. You do not have to have a train ticket to use our gift and bookshop or our cafe.

Good morning, happy Sunday. One week to go until we will be open for the half term break, 25th - 29th October and then that will be the end of the 2026 season, hope you will be able to join us. Todays photos sent to me by Kay, this happened the last week we were open. There is a lot of roadworks going on on the A30 with lots of diversions in place, obviously some people know better and know short cuts through the tiny back lanes causing chaos. Unfortunately some going through the back lanes are too big and damage has been caused to the road bridge that goes over the railway line. Here you can see Jonathon and Irvine checking it out when it first happened, also temporary barriers have been put up by highways dept. We are still able to run our trains.

Good morning all, happy Thursday. Photos today taken by me yesterday of the last train of the summer season. My favourite engine Covertcoat was on duty and this is the 4.20pm about to leave Newmills for the last day of our summer season. We are now CLOSED until Sunday October 25th - Thursday 29th Oct half term. Thank you to all our summer visitors, friends and suppliers for the support this season.

Good morning, happy Wednesday. It is our last day of the summer season, if you want to see us it had better be today! After today we will be closed until Sunday 25th Oct - Thursday 29th Oct for the half term break. Cafe, museum, gift and bookshop on site. Gates open 10.30. Good morning, happy Tuesday. We are coming to the end of the line for our summer season. We are open today and tomorrow (Wednesday) is our last day, so if you want to visit don't leave it too late. Photo today was taken by my Grandson on Sunday. Gates open at 10.30. Cafe, museum, gift and bookshop all on site.

🚂To the little person who was very upset that they lost their brand new minature Charlie engine off the side of the carriage this afternoon. We were all looking for it on the last train ride, we didn't see it on the way to Newmills BUT on the way back to Launceston station my Grandson spotted it. They went back and picked it up and it is in our shop waiting for you. Don't worry, we will take good care of Charlie until you come back and pick him up🚂
