Although the Tapestry of the North exhibition has now come to an end, we'd like to share the results of the People's Choice vote at Kirkleatham Museum.

Jane Riley from the BTG North Team said:

"I am delighted to announce that the winner of the People's Choice Award at Kirkleatham Museum for the Tapestry of the North exhibition was Michael Crompton with his Pollution-Sounds Tapestry. Here, artist Jane Walkley is accepting the award on his behalf.

We were overwhelmed by the number of votes—just under 350! A huge thank you to everyone who voted. It makes a big difference to us as artists when we receive feedback.

Judging by the comments and spread of votes, you clearly loved many of the tapestries."

👏 Congratulations to Michael Crompton on receiving the People's Choice Award, and thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition and took the time to vote. Your support and feedback mean so much to the artists and organisers alike.
