POP (Pride Of Place) Arts Space in Princes Quay Hull, is a project of The Creative and Cultural Company in partnership with East Street Arts. The project engages the public, sparks debate, encourages audience feedback and curates inclusively. We believe in democratising contemporary arts. We are enablers rather than gate keepers. POP opened on Friday 28th February 2014 at 6pm showcasing local tale

nt. Over 2000 people visited in the first week and the success is continuing. With the addition of The Glitch Studio on the Harbour Deck and regular arts events in the Quay, we have had 29000 visitors so far (Nov 2014). POP is also proud to be the UK home of The Freedom Flame

📣 OPEN CALL ALERT! 📣 Redeye - The Photography Network are teaming up with HIP Gallery (Hull Independent Photography Gallery) and The Creative and Cultural Organisation to bring the Hot House Talks to Humber Eco Fest

♻️ Do you have a photography project relating to sustainability that you would like to share?

📸 Perhaps one that visually documents the changing landscape of our environment or maybe you employ a practice which embraces environmentally sustainable techniques?

💻We are looking for photographers who can give short, ten-minute presentations about their work for our Hothouse event in Hull's Jubilee Centre for Humber Eco Fest, this November. We are accepting all types of applications exploring the theme. If you have a project or body of work you would like to talk about, whether it’s complete or a work in progress, we would love to hear from you.
