What a night.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last Thursday for the launch of How Pleasant To Go To A Friend On A Visit! and the relaunch of Humber Street Gallery.

It was fantastic to see the gallery filled with artists, friends, supporters, partners and people curious about contemporary art. The exhibition brings together work by more than 40 artists as part of our first Fruit Factory Guild Members Show and celebrates the growing creative community around the gallery.

As Dave McLeavy, our CEO & Artistic Director, said on the night, arts and culture thrive because people choose to engage with them. Whether that's visiting an exhibition, joining us for a coffee or a drink, hiring a space, attending an event, becoming a member, partnering with us, or simply telling a friend about what we do.

Every visit matters.

If you haven't been yet, How Pleasant To Go To A Friend On A Visit! is open now, and our downstairs café/bar and Rooftop Garden are open until 9pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout the summer.

We'd love to welcome you back soon.

We’re excited to announce If Memory Serves Me Well, a new commission by artist Charlotte Dawson exploring memory, ritual, loss, and the emotional relationships we build with and within shared spaces.

Through sculptural intervention and material exploration, the work considers how traces of human presence become embedded within everyday environments; from sacred sites and roadside memorials to communal rituals and acts of remembrance.

Using materials associated with fragility and repair, including ceramics, fiberglass and artificial flowers, the work explores how spaces quietly hold emotional residue after people have passed through them.

The exhibition runs from Friday 10 July - Sunday 20 September, with the launch event taking place on Thursday 9 July, 6-9pm. The event is free and open to everyone!
