“When the Eyes Met” is one of my most treasured paintings, and like all of them will, it has now found a new home. Letting go of a piece of myself is never easy, yet I know, and I’m learning that nothing is truly lost; I’m evolving through each creation. Every painting leaves quietly, carrying a fragment of my journey, and in return, it opens space for what’s next.”

Many of our Northenders, sailors and fisherfolk were buried in the Hardwick Road Cemetety. We've teamed up with the Friends to help make sure we can keep telling their stories - and making a few new discoveries as we go!

The museum has an impressive archive of Northend family histories that you can access for free in the Pat Midgley Research Centre. https://truesyard.co.uk/research-centre/

And if anyone wants to join the Friends fir a couple of hours in the peaceful nature of the Hardwick Cemetery, more details can be found here: https://www.hardwickroadcemetery.co.uk/
