Multi award winning Art gallery & exhibition space in Keswick, Lake District National Park, as featured on the BBC both television & radio, and in 2020, five months worth of editorial within Cumbria Life Magazine. The gallery represents 85 artists over a range of artistic disciplines from glasswork to jewellery to photography & ceramics, especially concentrating on paintings, oil, acrylic, watercolour from the northern Lakes.

“The eclipse will take place in the early hours of Friday and comes just weeks after the UK experienced its most dramatic partial solar eclipse in nearly 30 years.

It will start at around 02:23 BST as the Moon moves into what is called the penumbra, the faint outer part of the Earth’s shadow.

The moon will appear to dim slightly - although this will be barely noticeable to most viewers.
The main partial phase of the eclipse will begin at 03:33 as the Moon starts to enter the darkest part of the Earth’s shadow - called the umbra.

It will reach its maximum at 05:12, when around 93% of the Moon will be within the darkest shadow.
The partial eclipse ends at 06:51 but this will not be visible in the UK because the moon will have set below the horizon by then.”

Ta! Da!
has dropped off 2x newly completed oil landscape painting. No points for guessing correctly this lake-side vista!
In his recent tome, “How Paining Happens (and why matters), in conversation with David Hockney, Martin Gayford notes, “The Hand, Eye, and Mind: Drawing and painting transmit an image through the physiological self, passing from what we experience into the brain and onto the page / canvass via the hand”. Hockney emphasises that optical vision is tied to psychological experience—we “see with memory” and past feelings rather than just recording light mechanically.
Two new paintings, this one being on our second floor.

Very excited to meet my new family.
Uncle Tim made me a new crate, my creator, having trusted me to the gallery’s care, more recently.
Susanne, Tim & I enjoyed breakfast in the garden this morning, before making my way, strapped to the rear of Hadrian’s front seat.
At Penrith railway station, the Station staff kindly showed me where to stand for carriage C
,
Expectantly, I could barely contain myself, so excited was I to meet my new family.
On the train, they allowed me to sit in my own seat after initially standing in the corridor.
Finally, I arrived at Manchester Airport where I met my new family and they collected me with equal joy, excitement, and delight.

Wednesday just after teatime, if I can, encourage you to make the effort to go somewhere a little special, perhaps ahead of this really incredible event.
Back in 1999, the last eclipse I witnessed, near Anthony, Cornwall, a small spit, a headland, looking out to sea, the solar eclipse was profound, may be possibly the best word I can use to describe. I can begin to understand why people travel all around the globe to experience these celestial moments.
That day, I witnessed things which you could lead one to understand why people have historically turned to gods and deities, to explain away what they witnessed.
So if I can, I implore you to go somewhere, where you too might experience something really rather remarkable.
And don’t look up at the Sun, it’s not good for the No1 eyeball!
