As a child I was told that I was colour blind, I struggled to tell the difference between several colours. Art at school quickly became my worst nightmare, dreading having to draw and paint, worrying what other people would think of my art if the colours were all wrong. To solve this, my chosen style quickly turned to using graphite, the gold old pencil. This way, it was all down to the shading an

d tones and I did not have to worry about colours, just my technique. Looking back now, what at first seemed a disadvantage for creating art as a child and initially scared me away from art, was actually what helped me learn the basic and essential skills needed and brought back my love of art and has turned me into the artist I am today. Not every hurdle is a disadvantage! I am self taught and have been exhibiting for over 15 years within the UK. I have my art in private collections throughout the UK, Australia, US and across Europe. I am passionate about animal welfare and conservation and a few years back when I saw yet another life of a beautiful animal wasted in Cecil the Lion, pointlessly murdered by a gutless individual, my signature series of drawings called "Their Fragile World" was born. It shows animals in or around glass to symbolise how fragile their world around them can be but also beautiful at the same time. I wanted it to be a happy quirky depiction of their lives, imagining what playful antics they might get up to given half the chance

Good afternoon you lovely lot :D.

So sorry for the quietness on here in the last few months, it has been a bit chaotic!

I hope you are all keeping well.

I have been busy working away on new artworks, including this one above called "Cool, Calm and Collected", which is A3 in size.

I was also very busy for a couple of months with organising the Art on the vines exhibition at the beautiful Dedham Vale Vineyard for myself and 53 other artists! We had a wonderful weekend, over a 1000 visitors throughout the weekend, with a sell out 500 people for the opening night where we had live music and local food vendors!

Hi everyone, I have some very exciting news :D!

During my 12 years as a full time artist, there has always been work going on in the background for what I wanted the next step to be. Over the last couple of years I have been making plans and they are now about to happen.

As an artist I am always extremely thankful to all of the people, organisations and Societies that organise and run art exhibitions. It is them who enable artists like myself to do what we love, produce our art and get it out there to be seen!

So, I thought it was my turn to do the same and Art on the vines was born. On the 12th-14th June, in the beautiful surroundings of Dedham Vale Vineyard we will be bring together and showcasing 50 of the regions finest artists.

The exhibition will kick off on Friday at 4pm until 10pm and there will be 3 live music acts throughout the evening along with 3 local food trucks. It will then continue over the weekend Saturday and Sunday 10am - 4pm.

Over the weekend there will be a chance to watch and chat to some of the artists that will be there working live on their latest artworks. There will be videos showing timelapse videos of some of the artworks to see how there were created. There is kids corner, a place for them to create their own masterpieces. Your chance to find our more about the wonderful Dedham Vale Vineyard, sample their wines and relax in the beautiful surroundings. Plus, there will be a chance to win some prizes!
