Located at the Bught Park Pavilion, Inverness, Shinty's Story - Sgeul na Camanachd is a permanent exhibition telling the story of Scotland's community sport – its history, culture and people.

Thank you to everyone who commented on last week’s images from Donald MacKay’s archive - we’re building up to the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final on the 19th September by throwing it back to Kingussie and Newtonmore meeting at Oban back in 1989

Thank you to everyone who commented on last week’s images from Donald MacKay’s archive - ahead of the Strathdearn Cup final at The Dell, we've dug out a few photos from a previous Badenoch derby final in Kingussie, the 1985 Camanachd Cup Final, won 4-2 by Newtonmore

With the Mowi Valerie Fraser Cup final taking place next week, we've dug out a copy of the programme for the 1st time the trophy was competed for in 2002📚

Jubilee Park was the venue as Glengarry took on Kingussie, and it was the 'Garry who ran out 7-0 winners to lift the 1st of a record 6 trophies🏆

There was a small consolation for Kingussie however with Cara Dallas being awarded player of the match, and Kings would go on to be runners up once again in 2004. These days players from Kingussie can now be found turning out for Badenoch, and it's them who will take on Kinlochshiel in next week's showpiece final at The Eilan!

Hugh Dan MacLennan’s Camera at the Camanachd talk hits the road again this September, as he teams up with shinty playing artist Dougie Rankin to tell the story of Donald MacKay’s incredible shinty photo archive.

Taking place at Corran Halls in Oban, you can come along the night before the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup final and is a great opportunity to reminisce on the stars of yesteryear the night before seeing the new generation battle it out at Mossfield.

The event starts at 19.00 with free entry. There will be a collection for the continued development of Shinty’s Story - Sgeul na Camanachd, so come along for what promises to be a great night of nostalgia for Scotland’s community sport!
