As part of Invergordon Off the Wall's 'Art in the Gardens' event held on Saturday, artists were invited to create a piece of work in the day, with the theme 'Volunteer Spirit'.

The top two are now waiting at Invergordon Museum for YOU to vote for your favourite.
Will it be A (Invergordon lifeboat) or B (Natal Gardens flowers)?

Meet Alan, Graham, and Charlie — the Caley Thistle–mad trio who never miss a match and never miss a chance to show off their colours.

These aren’t just ducks. These are ICT diehards. The kind of fans who’ve stood by Inverness Caledonian Thistle through League One battles, celebrated the climb back up, and now strut proudly into the Championship like they personally helped win the league. And honestly… with the energy they bring, who’s to say they didn’t.

Alan is the tactical genius — the duck who analyses every pass like he’s on the coaching staff.
Graham is the hype machine — scarf on, hat ready, quacking louder than the home crowd.
Charlie is the wildcard — the duck who believes every match is “our day” and refuses to accept anything less than glory.

Together, they’re a waddling, scarf‑swinging, football‑chanting force of nature.

🎀🏴 Meet Tartan Tara– the plaid proud, Highland hearted star of the Invergordon Duck Trail. Tartan Tara has officially swept onto the Duck Trail, and she’s already causing a delightful stir. This morning she stepped out from the Port of Cromarty Firth, bonnet perched just right, ruffled tartan shimmering with every wiggle, and a sparkle in her eye that says she’s ready to bring full Highland flair to every corner of town.

Tartan Tara doesn’t just explore… she celebrates.
Her first stop? Anywhere with a hint of tradition. She’s already been spotted admiring local tartan displays, pausing proudly beside heritage murals, and giving approving nods to anyone wearing even a whisper of plaid. She’s the kind of duck who would happily join a ceilidh, straighten her bonnet before every dance step, and hum a jaunty tune whenever she feels especially pleased with the local Highland spirit.

🦆💙 DUCK TRAIL - MURAL EDITION: “THE LONG GOODBYE” (2007) 💙🦆

The Invergordon Duck has now made his way to “The Long Goodbye”, painted by Tracey Shough in 2007, and this stop has him feeling a little more reflective than usual. This mural carries a quiet emotional weight - a moment of farewell, a story of people parting, and the sense of time moving on.

He perched gently near the scene, bow tie resting softly, taking in the colours and the tenderness woven through the artwork. For once, he didn’t try to join in or pose dramatically. Instead, he simply watched, head tilted, as if he understood the significance of goodbyes in a town full of history, journeys, and returning faces.

He’s declared this mural “a thoughtful pause” on his double‑trail adventure - a reminder that every community has moments of parting, but also moments of reunion, resilience, and new beginnings.
