If you missed a tour of our Astrophotography exhibition trail by the astrophotographer Claire Bradshaw then we have some good news for you! Due to popular demand we have one last tour planned for next Saturday 5 September with Astronomy with Claire where you can find out about the exhibition, her process of capturing such distant objects on camera and of course the cosmos . The tour is free, but all of these tours to date have sold out, so we highly recommend booking in advance. Full details of the event and how to book can be found through the museum's event page.

We're strolling down 's West Street in the 1960s for .

There's Cramp's and Camplin's shops which must bring back memories!

Then there's John Wakefield's caterers, pastry-cooks and restaurant, with the drapes to keep the sun off the food - who shopped or dined there?

Of course, this was when West Street was open to traffic and rather congested as a result!

Thank you to everyone that joined us for our final Museum Late of the season on Friday. 🎢

We enjoyed a fantastic performance from Italian saxophonist Betty Accorsi and guitarist Andrea Martelloni. Their original music blended contemporary jazz with Mediterranean, Celtic and English folk influences.

Did you know Horsham Museum & Art Gallery was featured in today's BBC Bargain Hunt?

Museum Curator Nikki Caxton showed presenter Charlie Ross (pictured) just some of the many historic posters collected by local man William Albery and stored in the Museum.

Examples included an appeal for a stolen fat sheep, a concert to raise money for the victims of the Titanic and instructions on how to avoid catching Spanish flu.

Each poster demonstrated the bold typography and social history that Albery loved so much.

You can watch the whole show on the BBC iPlayer where you can also view a shorter clip that just features Nikki and Charlie (see link in the comments below πŸ‘‡).

Interested in the poster collection? You can view many of them online. Just search for Horsham Museum Posters.
