HOT! Too hot! What an amazing project...!

From a melted fire hose to beautifully framed momento. Today saw the collection of this unique piece of fire memorabilia, all framed up in a custom-made case and frame.

This melted hose end marks firefighter, Adam's, hottest fire of his career. Heat from a plastics factory was so intense that it melted through the pressurised hose.

constructed a custom timber case, colour matched the hose to the mountboard and painted exterior. The frame is handmade from oak moulding, with charred finish to pick up on the fire theme and coated in finishing oil to seal it. To give a crystal clear look, we opted for AR70 ArtGlass.

Calling all Kingtonians!

Today, I was very honoured to have been invited to the unveiling of the newly restored photograph of Lady Hawkins’ School Tercentenary 1932, not seen in public for over 90 years.

The museum are seeking local knowledge to help name the pupils, teachers and staff in the old photograph.

Pop along to the Burton Hotel, Cloud Nine reception to see who you can spot. Please do help identify as many people as possible before this knowledge is lost. Many thanks.

were asked by Nicy Roberts, volunteer at Kington Museum, to frame this marvelous and history photograph that marks an important time in the history of Lady Hawkins School. We used conservation techniques and materials to ensure it longevity and protection for another 100 years!

The event was attended by the Mayor of Kington, Councillor Phillip Sell, representative from Lady Hawknlins School, including Headteacher, Allen Brace and Elizabeth Banks of

This colourful little print left the shop today! Deckled edge paper, float mounted on a light white mountboard, box framed with brigh orange moulding. Sad to see it go, but it has gone back to its rightful owner to enjoy.

Sometimes things can go wrong...

Like this metal framing wedge breaking out through the face of the moulding. It can happen sometimes when the wedge finds a weakness in the wood and doesn't track straight.

There was only one thing to do, take it apart and start again. Unfortunately, in this case, it didn't go well, with the frame shattering. Just goes to show that the glued mitre joints were stronger than the wood!

This is a reproduction giclée print by the Tate.

We were asked to reframe and reglaze to replace the broken glass. We are always happy to take on projects like this to allow art to be loved and seen again.

"the world is very, very beautiful if you look at it."

It is framed with a complementary yellow mount and chunky pink frame.

A big thank you to the amazing Jade Ibegbuna, Head of Cultural Partnerships at Bradford Council, for gifting me the poster. Love it!
