The theme for next year's photography competition/exhibition is Four Seasons in One Bay.
It's time to look through your camera roll and find photos of Herne Bay through the seasons. Deadline for entries is 18 January.
Maximum of 4 entries per person.

Fred and Ginger (our Carnival stars) are on the loose in the museum. They're upstairs with our Flints and Fossils.
You might spot a straight tusked elephants tusk or two upstairs too. Found on the shores of Herne Bay, from when straight tusked elephants roamed the Bay.

We are over the moon!!! Update on the 2026 Bucket and Spade Award

With the help of all our wonderful visitors, supporters, customers, members and friends Herne Bay Pier has been awarded 1st Place . What an amazing accomplishment for the Pier and the whole of Herne Bay.

Thank you so much for all your votes and the wonderful comments that you posted when you cast your vote - we have seen them all. This award will be such a boost for our local community and our supporters and we will display it proudly.

Our new exhibition Hampton-in-Sea A Disappearing Coastline is now open. Curated by some of our volunteers, find out about a disappearing village, founding families, an oyster farm and how coastal erosion made the area we see today.

Our thanks to everyone who helped provide information and images for the exhibition.
