Today we’re celebrating the people who make museums what they are. While our doors maybe be closed to the public, the work never stops behind the scenes. Our dedicated teams continue to care for our collections and artefacts, preserving them for future generations. At the same time, we’re proud to keep sharing knowledge and inspiring curiosity through our education work. From our Flowing Forward programme our ongoing river education school visits, learning continues to flow beyond our walls. Today we recognise and thank everyone who makes it all possible , education, curatorial, operations, finance, technicians and volunteers. Your passion , expertise and commitment keep museum alive in many different ways. Museums are more than buildings - they are people, stories and shared experiences.
