COSY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING NIGHTS AT HEART GALLERY

Christmas shopping is always better with good company and perhaps a little less hustle and bustle.

This Christmas, we’re opening Heart Gallery again after hours for private group shopping evenings, and we’d love to welcome all sorts of groups through our big black doors. Last year we had a lovely variety of groups so let's do it all again.

WI groups & friendship groups.
All-male groups who would rather face almost anything than go Christmas shopping!
Workmates, families and festive gangs.
And we’re also planning some quieter, sensory-friendly shopping evenings for anyone who finds busy shops, crowds and Christmas noise a little overwhelming.

The idea is simple: a relaxed, friendly and more personal way to do your Christmas shopping, with the gallery all to yourselves, plenty of time to browse our huge collection of work by UK artists and makers, and a lovely atmosphere without the usual high-street madness.

We’re still working out the finer details of our different evenings so that we can make them genuinely useful and enjoyable, particularly our sensory-friendly sessions, rather than just sticking a label on them and calling it done but our diary is now open for bookings so do get in touch.

20 YEARS OF HEART GALLERY

Well this happened last week!

Twenty years ago, we opened those big black doors on Market Street for the very first time. And somehow, two decades later, we’re still here.

I didn’t quite have the energy to shout about it on the actual anniversary but perhaps that’s rather fitting. Because the truth is, running an independent gallery for 20 years has been a journey of highs, lows, changes, challenges, wonderful surprises and a whole lot of hard work.

But mostly, it’s been about people.

The artists and makers who trust us with their work. The customers who walk through our doors, sometimes just for a browse and sometimes leaving with something they absolutely love. The friends, family and fellow independent businesses who have supported us along the way. And our brilliant little Heart Gallery team, past and present, who have helped keep the magic going.

We’ve seen some changes, galleries come and go, survived some pretty interesting times and watched Hebden Bridge change around us.

And here we are.

20 years of supporting artists.
20 years of finding beautiful things.
20 years of Heart Gallery.

So today, rather belatedly, we’re raising a glass to that.

Thank you to every single person who has been part of our story. Here’s to whatever comes next 💕

A lovely Saturday delivery from the wonderful Polly Marix Evans

Polly popped in with more of her fabulous work for us, and honestly, we’re rather pleased she did as it’s always a joy to see her and we were running very low on her cards.

Her pieces have that lovely Polly magic, full of character and those little details that make you stop, look again and smile… Bun Head’s antics are very well received here at Heart Gallery.

Polly’s limited edition linocuts bring a bit of joy to a room… and we’re very happy to have more of them at Heart Gallery.
