Exciting news......for a while now we have been wanting to run a Glass workshop in the Gallery, but it has challenges, as you can imagine! However, the wonderful Tina of Orange Bee Arts & Glass has worked up a really lovely workshop for us: Creating a Sheep and Meadow Glass Tile
This will be held at Chapel Gallery on Saturday 22nd August, starting at 1pm and finishing at approx 4pm. There are 6 places available – £50 per person. Suitable for beginners

Did you know we have over 80 people who have work in the Gallery? It can be a challenge taking pictures of all the new work that comes in, displays are constantly changing with us trying to display as much as we can! It can be a bit like a game from the Crystal Maze trying to fit it all in!!

This fab pop up shop has opened up opposite us for the next few days. Hawes in Bloom, Hawes Christmas Lights, the famous Hawes Yarnbombers are all there, and more!! Pop in and support them, then come over to us for a coffee 😊

With the bad weather over the last few weeks, our flags broke with no hope of fixing....it is new flag day today! And what a stunning day it is - blue sky and no wind......lapwings, curlews, oystercatchers and lambs. Lovely!

However the flags are bigger than before - it will be even more of a struggle to get them out when it is windy 😂

Anyone else been thinking it is about time to do some bits and pieces in the garden, or just spend a bit of time using your outdoor space? (As I write this, it is raining, but the sun is trying to shine!) The birds are definitely singing now, love hearing the blackbirds, and we have a local red squirrel here keeping themselves busy!

In the Gallery we have seed dibbers, some woollen hanging basket liners, wool felt blankets for w**d suppression, peg bags, variety of bird boxes, shed door knockers, cane toppers, dog leads and more! All handcrafted with love 😁

After a fab needle felting workshop in December, making a Barn Owl.....the fab is running another workshop with us to make a duckling 🥰
Friday 8th May from 10am to 1.30pm at Chapel Gallery - 8 spaces available (£40 per person) Contact myself or Harriet from Creating Wool Art

It’s a perfect time to get together with friends and enjoy a bit of creativity whilst learning a new skill.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, with no previous experience, but equally a fun workshop for more experienced felters.
Various Duckling designs to choose from.

Been struggling with the enormous task of updating the website - but I have a plan, and have updated 2 of my artisans today: and
My motto today is - How do you eat an elephant? One small bit at a time (or never, but that doesn't work in my favour!) All credit for the montage goes to my laptop & AI!!!
Also went for a fab swim in Semerwater this morning, which probably also helped!!
