Some journeys take longer than expected.
These paintings were carefully rolled and packed in Costa Rica before making the journey to England.
Since then, life has moved in unexpected directions, and painting quietly slipped into the background for a while.
Today, I finally unrolled them.
There was a moment of hesitation before opening the package. I wasn’t quite sure what I would find.
Thankfully, the paintings have survived the journey beautifully.
Seeing them again feels less like revisiting old work and more like reconnecting with a part of myself that has been patiently waiting.
In five weeks, I’ll be moving into a new studio and continuing the Underwater Series.
It feels good to be finding my way back.
