Your Museum ticket includes crafts, Museum trails and three hands-on interactive galleries. Enjoy storytelling on selected weekend and school holiday dates led by our expert storytellers. Pick up our Village and countryside trails and head off to explore the village and countryside that inspired Roald Dahl's stories. We're the home of Roald Dahl's Writing Hut, so don't forget to take a peek into t

he magical place where all your favourite stories came to life. Open year round, 10am to 4.30pm:

Believe it or not, this tiny ball is actually made from layers and layers of chocolate foil wrappers! 🍫

When Roald Dahl was working in London in the 1930s, he ate a chocolate bar every lunchtime and kept the wrappers. Years later, they became this little foil ball, which sat on the table in his writing hut. Can you believe it weighs over 300g! 😮
