Due to volunteer illness / shortage, the Museum unfortunately won’t be open this afternoon - but if you’re around and keen for a visit, the good men of the The Maggie Law Museum - Second Hand Book Store will open up for you, if you ask very nicely. Normal service will be resumed presently. Thank you.

That’s the Cutty Sark away to a new home in Irvine: thanks to the guys from Constantine Scotland for doing such a good job of getting her out of her corner and away safely.

Thanks to Bervie Auctions , we’ve acquired a small collection of vintage postcards of Gourdon and Bervie for our archives. Any information on any of these would be very welcome.

Last chance folks, the removal men are coming to take her away next Thursday. If you want to wave her off, drop by this weekend.

The fabulous model of the Cutty Sark, kindly loaned to us by the grandson of her last Master, Captain Richard Woodget, will soon be sailing off to her new home at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine. So if you want to see her before she goes, don’t delay - we’re open Saturdays and Sundays 1.30pm to 4.00pm.
