Canvas Southside is a contemporary gallery and bespoke framing studio in Glasgow’s Southside.

From the early climbing clubs of the 1920s to bothies and Munro bagging, both artists trace Glasgow's long pull towards the hills - through history, memory and the landscapes we return to.

A round up, some thank yous and a reminder that today is the last day you can catch the exhibition!

Last week we opened our very first exhibition here in Glasgow showcasing two incredible artists, Jenny Hamilton & Sheena Raeburn. A massive thanks to the artists for their huge efforts to put together a beautiful collection of pieces - two different styles which complement each other perfectly👌🏼

Thank you to everyone that came along - it means so much as a new business to have your support. We got lost in the buzz of it all so didn't get many photos but we think the atmosphere is captured perfectly in those we have.

Special mention and thanks to Carol and Bobby for providing the canapés and flowers - absolute legends! Carol and Jenny finally got to meet, papped it 📸

The exhibition finishes today, Saturday 4th July, so try to drop by today and catch this.

Our exhibition, That Place, is running this week and the walls are looking 👌🏼

The exhibition features two incredible artists, Jenny Hamilton and Sheena Raeburn, and was born from the idea that we all carry connections to certain places and moments.

We have some stunning pieces (if we do say so ourselves 😉) and if you like any of the framing - come and see us. We offer bespoke framing and we're open for business as usual.

The final day of the exhibition is Saturday 4th July but if you aren't able to make it in person, everything is on the website or simply drop us a message.

Sheena Raeburn is an abstract landscape artist, inspired by the edges and shifting atmospheres of Scotland.

The upcoming exhibition, 'That Place', explores the idea of connections to certain places and memories.

Join us from 26th June - 4th July for the joint exhibition with Jenny Hamilton.

We will be opening the doors on Friday 26th from 6.30pm with some drinks so drop by and make an evening of it!

The map was floated in a hand painted ink frame with Art Glass. Simple & classy.

Canvas Southside are delighted to invite you to our very first exhibition in Glasgow.

That Place was born from the idea that we all carry connections to certain places, moments and scents that stay with us. Whether it’s the feeling of returning somewhere familiar, or the simple memory of a Buddleja butterfly bush in a grandparent’s garden, these small details have a remarkable way of transporting us back in time 🪻

This beautiful joint exhibition by Jenny and Sheena brings together two distinct yet complementary styles, full of colour, texture and atmosphere.

Join us from 26th June - 4th July, with an opening party on Friday 26th June (any excuse!) 🥂 Bring some friends, pop in after work and help us celebrate.

We are incredibly excited to showcase what these fantastic artists have in store!
