Patricia Fleming Gallery

Patricia Fleming Gallery Patricia Fleming Projects is a contemporary art gallery based in Glasgow, working closely with emerging and established visual artists from the UK and beyond.

Patricia Fleming Gallery was founded in 2013 in Glasgow by curator Patricia Fleming and represents emerging, mid-career and established contemporary artists working in Scotland and beyond. Alongside an annual programme of exhibitions and events, we initiate artists’ commissions and residencies. Exhibitions are free and open to the public. Talks and curatorial tours are also free and provide insight to understanding and collecting contemporary art.

We are delighted to be presenting new work by Miranda Boulton at NADA Art Fair Miami next week.

Miranda Boulton (b. 1973) is a contemporary British painter who lives in Cambridge with a studio in London. Boulton’s practice explores ideas around memory and time. Her work is questioning what it means to be a woman artist and feminist exploring floral painting.

Boulton uses references from her extensive research of the floral still life genre and combines the traditions of still life painting and abstraction within her mix of vigorous and delicate marks. Her rich, colourful, impasto oil paintings are expressively redefining contemporary floral painting today.

EXHIBITION ANNOUNCEMENT: The Persistence of Painting
15 November - 20 December 2025 (PV Friday 14 November , 6 – 8pm)

Patricia Fleming Gallery is delighted to announce the group exhibition 'The Persistence of Painting'. The exhibition showcases new works by Jennifer Aldred, Amelia Barratt, Max Boyla, Michael Clarence, Sooun Kim, Amanda Seibaek, and Amy Winstanley.

This exhibition builds-on the legacy of pivotal exhibition of the same title held at the Center of Contemporary Art Glasgow in November 1995. Coming 30 years after that presentation, Patricia Fleming Gallery's exhibition highlights painting's enduring relevance, especially in a post-digital age where there is a renewed appreciation for tangible materials. The exhibition explores contemporary themes emerging in contemporary art, such as moving beyond anthropocentrism and the consideration of non-human life positioning Scotland at the fore of global art discourse.

The exhibition runs from Saturday 15 November until Saturday 20 December.
