Framed this beautiful little oil.
It was painted on piece of tiny wood — about 3mm thick, it was so delicate.
This traditional surface used to capture such a modern tender moment is striking. The quality is great.
The artist gives the hands a quiet weight, and the simplicity of the composition makes it even more striking.
Set in a colour matched flat slip surround that lets the painting breathe, then a thin reflective yellow gold frame.
It’s a perfect example of how classic craftsmanship can elevate contemporary subjects.
Painted by one of Glasgows great contemporary figurative painters Drew Thomson.

This little still life carries such a tender weight. I framed this oil painting for a very special client who always chooses art with heart, and this bag of beans is no exception. What looks like an everyday moment is, for her, a doorway back to childhood—standing beside her grandmother, picking beans in the warm light of long summer days. There’s something beautiful about how an ordinary plastic bag can hold a whole memory, and how art can make the simplest things feel sacred. Cx

Hi folks! My head is spinning!
It’s been so quiet. 🤫 n been quite a wee while since being on here - got loads of stuff going on in my other life that my favourite part of my life has been getting neglected.
