Happy New Year message from GVVT
Seasons greetings from the GVVT Chairman.
A taster from a recent 'fly through' of Bridgeton Bus Garage
Good evening from Bridgeton Bus Garage,
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend.
We've been busy at the garage making plans and beginning the process of turning them into action. We'll be making some announcements this coming week about the Open Weekend in October and providing more information about the fantastic new book 'Over the Sea to Skye'. We also have some exciting digital content coming out in September in relation to the Doors Open Days Festival. More on all that soon.
In the meantime, here's a wee taster. A clip from a recent 'fly through' of the garage thanks to GVVT member Stuart Macrae.
Enjoy!
Best wishes,
Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust

Happy Easter from the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust!
Here's Guy and Brian leaving the garage with the Wee L last year on their way to a publicity event on Argyle Street.
Hopefully we'll have the Wee L out and about later this year. Fingers crossed!
Stay safe!

Walkround of the garage first thing this morning. All quiet!
Good morning from Bridgeton Bus Garage,
Like everyone, we're adapting to life in the current circumstances. A handful of us have been checking on the garage each day to see that all the vehicles are safe and sound. The Chairman now makes it his statutory "one period of exercise per day" to bike down to the garage and see what's what!
Here's a video from a visit at the weekend walking round the main shed. Hopefully this eases an withdrawal symptoms folk might be experiencing.
Hope everyone is well and looking after themselves and others.
Best wishes,
Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust
All quiet after closing time today.
Looking forward to the second day of our Open Weekend tomorrow.
Hope to see lots of you there!
A Bridgeton Bus Garage Open Weekend in action
So yesterday we shared a video of quiet Bridgeton Bus Garage. Here's a super video of the garage a bit busier with an Open Weekend in action! Many thanks to Garry Cornes for it.
Not long now until the next one! 12th and 13th October! Hope to see you there!
All quiet at Bridgeton Bus Garage
Here's a quiet and peaceful Bridgeton Bus Garage. Hopefully it will be very different on 12th and 13th October when we welcome our visitors to our Open Weekend! It will be a lot busier!
We really hope you can make it along. Please tell your family, friends and workmates! And LIKE and SHARE our posts!
AEC Regent tow wagon on the move!
Good morning from Bridgeton Bus Garage,
Yesterday we got underway at the garage with preparations for the Open Weekend taking place on 12th and 13th October. This involved moving some buses about. Something we moved, that we hardly ever move, was our 1938 AEC Regent tow wagon which belonged to Glasgow Corporation Transport. It's registration is BUS 181. Honestly, that's its real registration!
Here is BUS 181 in motion!
Please tell your family, friends and workmates about us and our events. LIKE and SHARE our posts!
Best wishes,

Wee L parked on Argyle Street on 28th April
Good afternoon,
We've taken up position in Argyle Street in Glasgow this afternoon to spread the word about the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust and tell the public about our events this year. Our Wee L is parked up. We also have some musical accompaniment to our visit today. Big Chief "Pan-pipe" is playing nearby, including some Abba classics! Only in Glasgow!
If you're in the area, please pop by to say hello!
Best wishes,
Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust
