Introducing Ross B-side 🎨

A resident of the venue and a multi-talented artist, Ross’ work spans across a wide variety of mediums including murals, graffiti, drawings, and tattoos.

The foundation of Ross’ practice lies in his drawing and unifies the various different strands of his work, while his graffiti is recognisable for featuring bold, sweeping letters, aggressive dynamic energy and striking visual elements.

Often working at scale and with detail, Ross’s work is engaging at any distance and his vibrant colour palettes and psychedelic influences hint at the greater world beyond the veil of our narrow senses.

Introducing Erin Bradley Scott 🎨

A resident artist in our studios, Erin is an experienced sign-writer, mural artist and graphic designer, running her own creative business. She's also the co-founder of Cobolt Collective - a mural collective alongside fellow artists Kat Loudon and Chelsea Frew.

Erin's career has seen her lead and collaborate on a range of community-based projects, as well as delivering a wide variety of private commissions, with her portfolio ranging from shopfront signage, logo, typeface and poster design, to large scale mural paintings and workshop facilitation.

Last month, we hosted the Glasgow School of Art Fashion Show 2026, where graduates came to showcase their wide ranging, expansive final collections.

Resident artist Elena Njoabuzia Onwochei-Garcia has recently opened a new solo exhibition at William Hine Gallery in London.

The exhibition, Grown: The Altering of Innocence and Experience, is on display until Saturday 25 July and is comprised of large-scale, suspended collages that combine Onwochei-Garcia’s individual works into immersive structures.

Layered compositions revolve around allegorical scenes that draw on literature, myth and folklore. Intertwining historical research with fictional references, the artist constructs complex and unstable tableaux in which fables, falsehoods and competing perspectives overlap. New stories and ideas emerge from well-known tales that offer novel ways of understanding personal experience, memory and identity.

Drawing upon William Blake’s illustrated poems, the narrative form of the exhibition is anchored through the dual perspectives of Innocence and Experience. Expanded upon through entangled stories of youth and adulthood, Onwochei-Garcia makes reference to the Homeric Hymn to Demeter as a means of exploring matrilineal relationships.

Rendered in watercolour and pastel on Japanese washi paper, Onwochei-Garcia’s compositions weave in and out of moments of the story of Persephone’s abduction by Hades and the ensuing grief of her mother Demeter to explore wider dynamics of naivety and wisdom, curiosity, sacrifice and terror.

Introducing James Klinge 🎨

A resident artist at SWG3, James brings an exciting contemporary approach to traditional forms of portraiture and figurative painting, specialising his technique with hand cut stencils and spray paint. His work creates emotion and expression by striking the canvas with a palette knife and spray paint, delivering a controlled chaos in his portraits and figurative studies both inside and outside the studio.

The subjects in his paintings aim to tell a story whether from historic influence or based on current affairs through his unique style and ex*****on not only in his works on canvas, but also in his ability to work on a larger scale for his mural creations.

Previously, Klinge had worked successfully anonymously under the pseudonym “Klingatron” which he decided to retire at the start of 2016 for personal and professional reasons. His work saw a dramatic change at this time as well bringing a combination of intricacy and detail from his work delivered from his stencils complimented what he describes as “controlled chaos” from expressive mark making from his palette knife.

Whilst inspired by the classical masters of figurative painting, Klinge has dedicated the past two decades developing his control with spray paint to manipulate it in an unseen unique way. From this his figurative and portrait paintings leave the viewer in amazement through texture and striking marks that they are looking at an oil painting rather than something straight from a can.

We've got a new billboard!

To celebrate this year's Glasgow International, we've unveiled a major new billboard installation by internationally acclaimed artist KAWS.

The unveiling marks the latest chapter in The Billboard Project, an initiative founded by Jim Lambie and developed in collaboration with SWG3 in 2015 to platform large-scale public art.

Born in New Jersey, KAWS first gained recognition through interventions on advertising billboards and public spaces before going on to achieve international acclaim through his paintings, sculptures and distinctive visual language. His work has been exhibited worldwide and spans the worlds of contemporary art, design, fashion and popular culture.
