Glasgow Art Club is a Scottish registered charity, no.SC039231. In 1893 two adjacent town houses on Bath Street were transformed by architects Honeyman & Keppie, employing Charles Rennie Mackintosh, into the magnificent Clubhouse which stands today. Over the years the Club has evolved from a world solely occupied by the Arts into a diverse hang out for artists and non-artists alike - a melting pot of people of all ages, from all backgrounds, working in all professions. Fully licensed, with food served daily in the dining room, there is also a bustling diary of events with everything from live music and Burns Suppers to artist demonstrations and life classes. Art has a way of staying with us long after we’ve moved on🎨…

This November, the Club welcomes ‘Past, Present, Future’, an exhibition bringing together generations of artistic talent connected to Kelvinside Academy - a small school with a big personality.

Featuring work by former pupils, including leavers from the early 2010s, alongside pieces by current students, the exhibition explores how creativity evolves over time and how the work we leave behind deserves to be seen, shared and remembered.

A celebration of artistic journeys, individual expression and the connections between past, present and future.
