Create your own monster sculpture in our workshop for 7-12 years olds and their grown ups 👹

Led by artist and sculptor Paul Raymond, you'll learn a range of sculpting techniques, and create fun and fearsome monsters using modelling clay.

Whether cute and cuddly, or scary and fierce - your monster will be unique and creative!

This pre-bookable session is taking place on Thursday 13 August, 10.30am - 12 noon. £15 per child plus booking fee.

Pick up one of our cards for inspiration, and enjoy exploring the gallery and drawing as you go.

This is a free activity for all ages, which you can do at your own pace. Please note, it is not a taught class.

A closer look at V&A DesignLab Nation 🔍

The title of this year's project is 'Chairs for Change: Designing for outdoors'.

Students from Benfield School and Heworth Grange School were inspired by the collections at the Shipley and Victoria and Albert Museum to create sustainable outdoor social seating.

The display is open until Saturday 5 September.
