DINOSAURS WEEK!
In our last week of the summer holidays, we’re celebrating Dinosaurs! The discovery of dinosaur footprints at Folkestone has transformed our knowledge of the dinosaurs in Britain – we now know that the last dinosaurs in Britain wandered on Folkestone beach a hundred and ten million years ago (and we know it was a beach!)

Our summer holiday activities are designed for children and young people under 13. We’ll run four activity sessions a day at 10:30, 11:30, 13:30 and 14:30. When you arrive at the museum before your chosen session, please pick up your FREE timed ticket at the main reception desk! Tickets are first come, first served on the day – we don’t allow booking in advance. We cap workshop numbers at 15 participants (plus their adults) per workshop.
The last two days of the summer holiday are always more free-form! On the 27th of August, join us for Steve Friedrich’s fossil roadshow! Drop in at any time between 10:30 and 12:30 and 1:30 and 3:30 to show him your fossil finds and learn more about his discoveries.
On the last day of summer, the Dinobabies are coming back to the museum! Meet the hatchlings at the museum and find out more about the dinosaurs who wandered in Folkestone.
All workshops are free, but we’d appreciate a small donation towards materials.
