This lovely lady came to me wanting to capture her special pregnancy in a painting 💙

She had a skin condition called Pemphigoid Gestationis, a rare autoimmune condition during pregnancy that affects the skin with blistering and changes in texture.

The layered brushstrokes on the belly were used to reflect its appearance and a reminder of what she went through and that she came out the other side ✨
