'Colour' opens at RAMM this Saturday 🐞🌞🧀🌿🐳💜🧤

Experience art by Hokusai, Kandinsky, Bridget Riley, Andy Warhol and more.

Colour is more than just something we see - it’s something we feel and sometimes even smell. It has the power to symbolise who we are and what we believe, and it is at the heart of some of our most enduring traditions.

This exhibition brings together over 150 objects spanning art, science, nature and cultural histories. It explores a spectacular world of colour; how we see it, how it’s made, how it’s used and how meaning can become attached to it.

Works by renowned artists are on display alongside colourful specimens from nature, scientific discoveries and cultural artefacts.

Don't miss 'Colour' at RAMM - book online at https://rammuseum.org.uk/whats-on/colour/

Happy International Museum Day! 🎉

This year's theme for International Museum Day is 'Museums Uniting a Divided World.'

Museums are trusted public spaces where people encounter stories, objects, and one another. In times of social fragmentation, polarisation, and unequal access to knowledge and culture, museums help rebuild connections across generations, communities, and borders.

At RAMM our engagement team works with Exeter and Devon communities to make the museum a welcoming and accessible space for all, where stories are shared by many voices.

The engagement team has a lot of experience of developing and co-creating activities alongside people of all ages and backgrounds, inside the museum and around the city. A visit might be a calm experience in the moment, or a loud extravaganza.

These projects and programmes enable people to make connections to local places and people, as well as across the world and throughout time.

Today and every day we celebrate this connection to our community ❤️
