Block Printing Workshop for Adults - Saturday 6th June

Experience the timeless art of Indian block printing using traditional hand-carved wooden blocks, and create a piece that is entirely your own.

In this calm, guided workshop, you’ll be introduced to the process of block printing, exploring rhythm, repetition, and pattern as you build your design.

During the session, you will:

•Learn the basics of hand block printing using authentic wooden blocks
•Experiment with colours, layering and traditional-inspired motifs
•Print and personalise a high-quality canvas tote bag
•Create a one-of-a-kind piece to take home, practical, considered, and handmade

Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre are returning to Forty Hall with another interactive workshop on Friday 29th May!

They will be bringing Shakespeare’s moody tragedy Hamlet to life in two fun and practical family workshops, One targeted for children 5-8 years old & their grown-ups, and another for children aged 9–11 and their grown-ups.

Using a range of activities and games designed to draw out elements of the play’s language, characters and themes, the session will bring you together with other families to discover this enchanting and chaotic tale.

Workshops will be led by one of the Globe’s highly experienced practitioners, who include actors, teachers and directors.
