Harland Viney is a multidisciplinary artist. Originally from Australia, she now lives in rural England. Her solo exhibition, You Live in a Paradise of Your Own Creation is on now at Babylon Gallery until 4pm on Sunday 24 July 🌿

Harland studied at Bath Spa University and the University of Tasmania, graduating in the UK in 2011. Her work explores an ongoing interest in exploring the boundary between control and disorder. From manipulating photographs by hand to producing large scale oil paintings, each work is characterised by a sense of instability within representations of reality.

New exhibition loading... ✨

Harland Viney's You Live in a Paradise of Your Own Creation opens 12pm tomorrow and is being curated by Nancy J Clemance. The two started collaborating in Dorset in 2010. One focuses on the impact of outside environments, the other on internal spaces.

The exhibition includes Harland's landscapes, exploring how flora and fauna merge into our sense of ourselves and others 🌿

Join us for the Preview Evening tomorrow at 5pm for a first look at the works, followed by our first event from 7pm, an informal opportunity to meet other artists and creatives in the area! 👋
