POPPY THOUGHTS – One-of-a-Kind Ceramic Artwork

A rather unusual piece from me, and one that nearly didn't make it!

During firing, the ceramic developed an uneven, raised and blistered texture across parts of the surface. Rather than discard it, I decided to completely rework it, hand-painting areas with acrylics and finishing it with a protective triple-glaze spray.

The result is Poppy Thoughts — a wonderfully eccentric red-haired woman surrounded by vivid red poppies, expressive lines, pattern and texture.

This is very much an experimental, one-of-a-kind mixed-media ceramic artwork.
The surface is deliberately being shown exactly as it is, with its raised and irregular areas clearly visible in the photographs.
It isn't perfect — but there will certainly never be another one like it.

Size: 36 × 37 × 8 cm

For decorative display only.
It can be gently wiped with a very lightly damp cloth and dried immediately.
Do not soak or place in a dishwasher.

£150 — reasonable offers considered.

Please message me privately if you're interested or would like further photographs.
